Question about GET method and appending more values to a URL

On the website I am designing the user submits the form and 2 values are sent via the URL to the next page where there is an additional form. I would like the user to be able to submit this next form and have the values appended to the URL (along with the values from the first form).

Can somebody please say how this is done?

That's going to get messy and you would need to keep validating the data. Why not just use sessions?

It's done like this:

page.php?value1=$value1&value2=$value2&value3=$value3

But for a form, as has already been said, sessions is probably the better method.
