Just upgraded Illustrator to CS5 from CS3. I want to print two specific pages from a multi tiled document but the 'page range" option under "General" is grayed out. I never ran into this problem before CS5. I appreciate any advice.
I see what you mean. Did you make the file or is it something you were given. You might have to remake the file using Artboards set to 0 gutter and copy/paste the artwork from the artboard in the original file to the new file. Sorry I didn't explore further.
I'm wondering if it is a conflict with the printer driver. I upgraded to Lion and CS5. When the print dialogue box opens "All" is selected and "Range" is greyed out. If I click on "Printer" I can select the range under "Pages". When I go to print it will start by printing the page I chose but then will try to print all the other "blank" pages.
As I said this never happened in Snow Leopard. I could choose any range I wanted.
Don't you see it un larry's screenshot at the bottom it says Tile?
Then it has a check box next to Tile Range check that box for a range of your tiles.
The pages only gives you all because you only have one artboard so it is not possible to have a range that way.
You need to select a arange of your tiles not pages
