How do I move or copy the shape path from a shape layer?
Command-drag (Mac)/Ctrl-drag (Win) the shape layer thumbnail to move the shape path to another layer.
Command-Option-drag (Mac)/Ctrl-Alt-drag (Win) the shape layer thumbnail to copy the shape path to another layer.
We had to make this slight change since there is no longer a separate vector mask thumbnail on shape layers.
For non-shape layers with a separate vector mask, the old keyboard shortcuts should still work for moving/copying the vector mask.
How do I hide or deselect a shape layer's path?
Now that the shape path is part of the shape layer (as opposed to a separate vector mask), the path outline will be displayed by default when a shape layer is selected in the Layers panel. To turn off the path outline for the currently selected shape layer, use one of the following options:
-Command/Ctrl-H (or View > Show > Target Path) will toggle the visibility of the shape path.
-Clicking on the shape path thumbnail in the Properties panel will toggle the selection of the shape path.
-Enter/Return will toggle the selection of the shape path. (Note: One of the vector tools (Shape, Pen, Path Selection, Direct Selection) must be active.)
-Esc will deselect the shape path. (Note: One of the vector tools must be active.)
-Manually deselect the shape path in the Paths panel.
The path outline will become visible again the next time the layer is selected.
