Escape Key Doesn't Work

Greetings,

 

My escape key gets disabled when I open the Editor. The only way to fix it is to reboot my computer. This doesn't happen if I just stay in the Organizer and don't open the Editor.

 

Why does opening the Editor disable the escape key?

 

I have Photoshop Elements 9.0.3 on Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit.

    Try an experiment.

    Open the Editor and on the top menu click:

    Help à About Plug-in à Camera Raw

    Now hit the Esc key

    Does the image disappear?

    The image disappears, however, the escape key is now disabled for all other applications. For example, Office Outlook 2010.

     

    Does anyone else have this problem?
