I just bought a Canon 60D and am filming in 60fps to get the slow motion effect. The problem is when I import the footage it is really grainy and seems to be poor quaility. I can successfully make it slow motion but even the video appears to be smaller in the top right where it shows the video actually being edited. What import settings should I use and everything? Thanks so much!

> I am running adobe premiere pro cs5.5 (5.5.0). My apps are all up to date.
Those two sentences contradict each other. The current version of Premiere Pro is 5.5.2. The recent updates include many bug fixes and performance improvements, including some for DSLR video. I recommend that you install those updates before attempting any further troubleshooting.
Why are you using a sequence preset for 1920x1080 footage when your footage is 1280x720? That explains why your clip is not filling the frame.
See this for information about how to choose the right sequence settings:

Pay special attention to the instructions for automatically creating a sequence with settings that match those of your footage.
Does the footage look grainy when you play it back in a media player (like QuickTime Player)? I'm guessing that it does. If you don't expose correctly for low-light conditions, then these DSLR cameras have a tendency to produce a lot of color noise in dark areas.

Ok thank you adobe-admin and everyone for the help. It was definitely my lack of camera skills, this is my first DSLR and I did not realize all the techniques that must be combined in order to get the perfect. I am unable to change the aperture on my canon 60d? even with the dial. Does anyone have knowledge on that?
