Adobe Photoshop Touch, Freeze on Startup

Mar 28, 2012 12:59 PM

Hey,

I have an iPad 3 with iOS 5.1 and 6 GB free space. I have reboot it many times and install and reinstall the app many times and also have leave the app for more than 2 hours and nothing happen.

The only thing i see is the logo of Photoshop Touch... not more. Is this a common problem and i hope someone have an idea how to solve this problem.

I have no apps in background and also try an fresh restore with only one app = PST... nothing.

Hope someone has an solution

Mfg Armand

Is your Ipad connected to internet...if yes is it possible to switch it off for few seconds and then check.

Also, Do you have any theme installed on your Ipad which may be causing the issue.change to default theme and check.

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

If this doesn't work then the only other thing that comes to mind for me would be a factory reset. You might want to backup your apps through iTunes on your Mac before going through the process to make reinstalling easier. Apple would most likely be able to assist you with the steps if needed. I would also be curious if you had any issue with other apps or programs freezing or running slow on the device.

Can you please collect the crash log and upload it on "Pastebin.com"

To find a log file, please sync your iPhone, iPod or iPad first, then locate the correct log file for the app using the path for your OS below. The log file’s name should start with the app’s name.

    OS X

    ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/<your iPhone’s name>/

    Hi,

I think you have restored your Ipad using the itunes , can you reset your Ipad to the factory defualt settings and after that install just the photoshop touch and check.

Unfortunately the problem is not quite clear from the crashlog.

Can you do me the favor and try to only sync via iTunes PSTouch to your iPad. Just to exclude if we have a conflict with one of your installed apps.

Please let me know the result on this.

    Thanks,

    Guido

Interesting. Can you try to install from app store.

Maybe there went something wrong while first initial

    install.

    Thanks

I have this problem as well, have tried everything with no luck. Is there an actual workaround?

After the recent update on November 28th, this problem is back. It is unfortunate, because I really need a file stored in the app. Is Adobe working on a update to fix this very same problem? Is it possible to get my file?

I was afraid to do this and fear loosing my files stored in the App. Please let me know if this might happen?

That might happen, but you can use iExplore (trial version) to backup your PSTouch files upfront http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/?utm_expid=15979170-8

See my attached screenshot where to find the psdx (PS Touch) files. Hope that is helping you.
