Is anyone seeing anything like this? These big blocks appeared (see table and left side of face) while I was making a shadows/highlights adjustment in CS5, following my initial processing using ACR 6.7 RC1. Thought they would disappear on viewport redraw, but they are burned into the image.
Canon 5D Mk III
Photoshop CS5 12.0.4 (Mac)
Any insight would be great!
Are you sure they're burned in, to me they appear to be video adapter driver artifacts. Is there a jump in rgb values as you move the pointer over one of the borders? If you save the image out as a jpg are the discontinuities still visible?
Yes, I'm sure they're burned in. They were burned into both the PSD master file, and the resulting lower-res JPG that I created from it. What's more confusing, is that even when I stepped backwards through History -- before the point that I applied the Shadows/Highlights adjustment -- the artifacts were still present. Also, minimizing the viewport and/or zooming up/down also did not clear up the image.
