Could be that you did not Extend Rights to Reader if that computer does not have Acrobat; but this belongs in the Acrobat forums; there are sub-forumns for forms related questions.

If they're viewing it on a Macintosh, they could be viewing it in Apple Preview instead of Reader or Acrobat. That would probably fail.

What doesn't work? PDF will not open all together, links go to wrong destination, buttons don't work, etc.

What application are you viewing the PDF in? What operating system? What version of InDesign produced the PDF? How did you export the PDF?

I'm trying to view the PDF on a MacIntosh. I created the PDF file on a PC

(Windows Vista) and used Indesign 5.5. I went to File, Export and selected

Interactive PDF as the file type. I accepted the other defaults. Also, I created

three bookmarks in the Indesign document. The first two work but the third one

doesn't and It's always the last bookmark I click on that fails to work. The

bookmarks work fine in the Indesign document.

Can you post this file somewhere where we can look and test it? A good way to do this if you don't have a website to post it on is to use a file transfer service like Dropbox (there are many others).

Dropbox is a free service. www.dropbox.com. It's available for all operating systems. After setting it up, you can select a file or folder and create a link to that file or folder. Then you post it here. That way anyone helping you can have access to the file.

Nope, put it into the public folder in the dropbox. Then with right mouse click on the file select copy public link from the context menu and publish it here.

With which program are you trying to open the file on the mac?

It does work for me, too. What operating system are you using and how are you

getting it to work? I would like to take it to school next week and also try it

on a Mac.

Can you try adding some additional bookmarks to the file? I added three

bookmarks and the first two (any two) I try work but the last one does not.

Your Interactive PDF will function correctly along as it is opened with Acrobat or Reader, regardless of platform. Apple Preview will ignore interactive buttons. Preview is the default PDF plugin app for Safari. There is absolutely nothing you can do for anyone who opens PDF with Preview or through Safari.
