CS6 beta hangs - Exit Code 6

CS6 beta hangs on opening any image or sometimes even at switching default workspace to for example photography. I have to use task manager to close the CS6. What is worse, after installing cs6beta even my LR4 has started to hang. Not always but it has started to hang. I am running HP envy 17 laptop. with i7 processor and 8GB of RAM.

    When you PS hangs, you mean it just freezes? No messages, no crash report?

    Is it running fine when you launch PS and create a new file.

    Does it only do this when you open an image?

    What OS are you running?

    What video card are you running?

    Do you have the most up to date driver?

     

    Try disabling OpenGL drawing in preferences, then restarting Photoshop.

    CS6 shouldn't be any slower, but we did add more GPU support and could be hitting bugs in video drivers.

    Also, it would be a good idea to update your video card driver from the ATI web site.

    Edit > Preferences > Graphics Processor Settings is now listed as  "Use Graphics Processor".

    Hi Pattie

     

    thanks for the taking time to address the issuse. Yes program just freezes

    without messages or crash report. I tried to create a new document, again

    the same result, it just froze. Windows task manager say not responding...

    I am running windows 7 home premium (64bit), video card is ATI Radeon HD

    5850 with 1gig memory, Drivers are up to date. If I try to change any

    preference the CS6 just freezes so I couldnt disable OpenGL...

    I tried to reinstall CS6.

     

    Now it runs well in 32bit application. But 64 bit application freezes just

    like before. The install created an error file though with a warning.

     

    Exit Code: 6

    Please see specific errors and warnings below for troubleshooting. For

    example,  ERROR: DF024, DW063 ...

    Tried a few times and even after an error free install, 64bit application

    is still freezing while opening photos, creating and even while working on

    preferences.

    Thanks for the additional information . I'll see if we can figure this out.

     

    Did you try launching and clearing the preferences?

     

    restore your preferences to default on launch:

    PC- CTRL-SHIFT-ALT immediately after you double-click the PS icon.

    MAC- CMD-SHIFT-OPTION immediately after you double-click the PS icon.

    Please provide us with the following logs.

    For Win:
    Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Instaler
     
    You can zip all the files together and share on this forum. This would help us in resolving the issue.

    Hi Nigam,

     

    How can I upload a zipped file here, I dont see an option, there is only an option for image and video... . Attaching via email doesnt work either.

    hi pattie,

     

    As you suggested I I tried setting preferences to default at start up, it

    asked me to delete a file which I did, but problem still remains.

    Hi,

     

    As per the logs there is no issue with the installation, Currently issue is PS is getting freezed.

     

    Please confirm that.

    No thanks, If Ashutosh has them, that is great! He is the expert. Your previous post said you could not mail them so I was just offering another option.

    Hi Ashutosh,

     

    When I execute "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64

    Bit)\Photoshop.exe" via relevant link Abode CS6 beta freezes. I can do

    anything only way out is via task manager. when I excute "C:\Program Files

    (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6\Photoshop.exe" then it runs normally.
