I want to install AcrobatX from a CD on my Windows 7 PC. Is it better to uninstall the earlier version (Acrobat 9) or will the new installation take care of removing the old version without any problems? Someone said there can be problems if I don't uninstall first.
The new full version is supposed to uninstall the old version but if you want to err on the side of caution then just uninstall the old version, reboot the machine and then install the new version.
I thought that AAX gave you a choice of keeping the old version if you desired. It was supposed to be the first release that did not create a conflict, but then my memory may be going at this point.
