LR2 to LR4 question

I just bought the download for LR4 as I have LR2

Can I dump the LR2 application now that I have the upgrade to LR4 or does it need the info in LR2 to be installed properly?

I have nothing I care about in LR2.

    The LR 4 is a complete new install and will not affect LR 2, they can both exist on your system.

     

    The read me notes that comes with the LR4 installer will give full details as to the procedures you need to follow for both Win and Mac OS. Read the file and follow the instructions.

     

    You do not need to uninstall LR 2 and the new install would need to read the original license key if you purchased the upgrade.
