Jpgs and RAW

I still haven't found an answer to this elsewhere so I'm hoping I'll get more luck here :-)

 

1) I need to sort jpgs from RAW files in LR4 but can find no way of doing it.

 

2) I need a wayto show only jpgs but, again, can't see how it's done.

 

Any help appreciated.

    Metadata filter, set column to filter onFile Type:

    In the Grid View go >View >Show Filter Bar (or shortcut; \).

    In the 4 columns select <Text> and in the menu below <Filename> and <contains> and <jpg>.

    Thanks! It took me half an hour to find the search so I didn't have much hope with jpgs!

     

    As an add-on question: For some reason LR4, having imported the previous catalogs, won't show the previews that are on the external server when it is switched off. Should I rebuild the whole catalog from scratch hoping that it will cache the image previews?

    NO!!!

     

    While the external is switched on, go to the Library Menu -> Previews -> Render Standard (or 1:1) Size Previews.
