How to load Elements 10 trial?

Apr 4, 2012 7:17 PM

I'm sensing this is a dumb question with a simple answer... but I can't crack it.  So, I downloaded the trial for photoshop elements 10 to my iMac (10.6.8), and when I open it, I open a bunch of folders, and I spent about half an hour clicking around in there, looking for the program, but without any luck.  I also tried rebooting and reinstalling.  Should it be so difficult to get the program to load?  I'm no techie (obvs) and I'm accustomed to simply clicking on an icon to load a program.  What am I missing here?

Double click the dmg file. Double click photoshop elements. Double click setup. They don't make it very obvious.

I don't understand what you mean by a lot of dmg files. You get a dmg file as your download, so double click it. It will mount on your desktop like a drive. If it doesn't open automatically, double the click the white box. Then you should see a folder labeled Adobe Photoshop Elements 10. Double click it. Then you should see the install folder. Double click that for the installer.

What are you seeing that isn't like this?

Incidentally, I'm talking about the actual PSE download, the one you get after you install the download manager.

    When I double click

it there are five icons to chose from - Adobe photoshop elements 10 (blue

square), and a bunch of Read Mes in various languages.

Double click Adobe Photoshop Elements 10.

    When I click on the

elements 10 icon, I get 4 folders, Deploy, Install, Packages, and Payloads.

    Double click install.

    Incidentally, I've

    installed the program twice.
