My collections did not transfer from LR3 to LR4. How do I get them?

    How did you do the transfer did you update the LR 3 catalog? That's where the info about your collections is stored.

    By update do you mean optimise?

    No when you installed LR 4 did you get a prompt asking if you wished to update the LR 3 catalog to create a LR 4 copy? The Lightroom 3 catalog would remain in place.

    I do not remember such a question during the upgrade. is there someting I can do now?

    Could you post a screen shot of your My Pictures > Lightroom  folder so that I can see what Catalog files have been created by Lightroom. See the screen shot of my folder containing my catalogs. You can see the path at the top of the screen shot, that is the default location on my Win 7 64 os. I do not know what is your operating system.

    I just need to get some more info so I can let you know how to proceed.
