Hey guys
I have a 1750-page PDF, and each page has one paragraph on it. (I want the paragraph numbers to correspond to the page numbers for easy navigation, but that's another story.) I want each page to be cropped to the length of the paragraph, plus .75" margins all around. When I try to use the crop tool, nothing happens. If I extract one page and try to crop that, nothing happens when I click okay in the dialog box.
The document is plain text exported from iWork Pages with no tables in it (it's got two collumns, though, I don't think that would matter) The only thing in the document is text and collumn breaks. Nothing else. I'm on a mac (obviously) running Acrobat Pro 9.5.0.
How do I fix this?
Thanks
The problem was not with my particular installation of Acrobat, but with the way that iWork Pages exports PDF files. The solution was to export from .pages to .doc, then using Microsoft Word save a version in .docx (just for good measure), export a .pdf from the .docx version, and crop. With that .pdf exported from Word (half the size as the .pages export, BTW), cropping was a breeze.
