Automatic Character Replacement/Insertion

Apr 5, 2012 3:15 PM

Is there a way to automatically insert a hair space before and after evern em dash and en dash? I know I can easily find-and-replace all the dashes with dashes plus spaces, but I'd like to have those spaces inserted automatically, each time I type one or paste new text into a document. I've used GREP Styles to increase the tracking around each dash, but I'd rather have an hair space.

Many thanks.

    Autocorrect, maybe?

It certainly cannot be done with a script.

Then use a GREP style to decrease the space.
