We recently had to update some of our users to Adobe X. When we open a pdf document sometimes the only pop up or floating toolbar is the properties one but then other times you open a document and you get the properties, comment & markup, select and zoom, and file toolbars all pop up. We have these in the quick tool bar across the top why do these extra toolbars open? How can I make it stop? Ultimately we have to click 5 boxes to get them off our screen before we can begin working.
Thank you for any input you may have.
Thank you for your response. I reset the tool bar and it still does the same thing. What I have figured out is it only happens when there is a sticky note or some kind of mark up or comment on the document that you open. If you open a PDF with no comments or markups the only box we get is the properties box. I would love to get rid of that popping open as well but the larger tool bars are of bigger concern at this time. We really just want those to go away and go get them if we need them. Thanks again for your help.

When someone initiates a Shared Review in Acrobat Std. or Pro., there is a preference in Acrobat that automatically opens toolbars for reviews. You can find this under Edit > Preferences > Reviewing. This should explain why you’re seeing the toolbars during a review. I’m still not sure about the other toolbar, can you login to the forum (not via email) and post a screenshot?
Thanks
Thank you for your responses. We changed the preferences under reviewing so that it shouldn't automatically open toolbars but the tool bars are still there when we open a document that has comments. Below are two views of what we get ...the Properties tool bar is on a document with no markups or comments and the multiple tool bars are when the documents have comments and/or markups.
