It's really hard to overlook Magic Bullet Looks, though, IMO. It includes dozens of presets, has additional presets available for purchase through fourth parties (See some on Toolfarm.com), and renders quickly using the GPU.
When I get a chance to talk to the DP, I ask them to shoot flat or linearly. That gives me more options in post to add the s-curve that Bob mentioned in the above post, along with the other tricks that make digital video look similar to film. Once a look is baked into the media, it's difficult to remove it.
