Okay so I have a personal movie project that is in my mind so I opened After Effects and wanted to import an explosion.mov file to the video clip from Action Essentials. It worked a month ago but now for some reason right when I import the .mov clip, it crashes... I have After Effects CS4 and CS5.5 and when I import the same exact .mov file to CS4, it works. I have the latest version of quicktime, can anyone help me? Here is a video link for the problem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60JqDeMJBmo&feature=youtu.be

Please provide answers to the questions listed here: "FAQ: What information should I provide when asking a question on this forum?"
First off, my system specs:
CPU: Intel Core i7 2600k CPU @ 3.40 GHz (8 CPUs)
Memory: 12 GB Corsair Vengeance 12288MB RAM
GPU: Nvidia GTX 580 Superclocked SLI (x2)
DirectX: DirectX11
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
After Effects CS5.5 Version 10.5, I installed all the recent updates, the footage I was using was from video copilot, I didn't get any error messages when I put the footage in, After Effects just freezes up when I put the footage in. I was using Adobe Bridge in the background to import the clips, but I also tried importing in a different way by just plainly dragging and dropping the clips from the folder, I have not downloaded any third party codecs.
I've tried the troubleshooting, all of the solutions in the link you gave me, but none of them worked, I turned off the firewall. You can see what happens when I import the .mov clips in After Effects in the video link on the very first post of this thread. But suprisingly, the .mov files work in CS4 but not in CS5.5.
