How can I make a video to automatically adjust the size based on screen size

Apr 7, 2012 3:37 AM

I have one project in adobe pre.pro CS5, with the aspect ratio of 16:9 and rendered to DVD. My problem is when I am seeing this video on normal TV, missing some portion of video from left and right. So is there any solution to adjust it automatically according to the TV screen size. Or how can I export this project to a DVD with the aspect ratio of 4:3 by putting blank space on top and bottom.

Sequesnce Settings is as on the picture below..

A video cannot automatically adjust for the device it's displayed on.

If you want to re-export your sequence in 4:3 with letterboxing, create a new 4:3 sequence and drop your existing 16:9 sequence into it, scaling to fit.

Scale a nested sequence of your timeline.

Also your DVD player should have the option of how to display 16:9 widescreen.

You can tell it to play it letterboxed.

If you force your widescreen into a 4:3 then people with widescreens are forced to watch widescreen in a 4:3 window.
