I have one project in adobe pre.pro CS5, with the aspect ratio of 16:9 and rendered to DVD. My problem is when I am seeing this video on normal TV, missing some portion of video from left and right. So is there any solution to adjust it automatically according to the TV screen size. Or how can I export this project to a DVD with the aspect ratio of 4:3 by putting blank space on top and bottom.
Sequesnce Settings is as on the picture below..
I am very thankful to you for your great support..
A video cannot automatically adjust for the device it's displayed on.
If you want to re-export your sequence in 4:3 with letterboxing, create a new 4:3 sequence and drop your existing 16:9 sequence into it, scaling to fit.
I think it is helpful..
I created new sequence with 4:3 ratio and added the current sequence to it. it is fine. But I cannot scale whole at a time, have to do each clip seperately!!!
is there any option to rescale whole at a time?
Many Many thanks for the reply...
Now I got it and I am working with that.
Before I didnt get the option bcs, I copied the entire clips to new sequence. Now I did as follow,
1. Created a new sequence with the ratio of 4:3.
2. Right clicked on the sequence with 16:9 ratio and clicked on insert.
3. Then selected the sequence in time line and changed the scaling in Effect Controls tab to 75%.
Now my video changed to 4:3 aspect ratio with letterboxing.
Also your DVD player should have the option of how to display 16:9 widescreen.
You can tell it to play it letterboxed.
If you force your widescreen into a 4:3 then people with widescreens are forced to watch widescreen in a 4:3 window.
I searched for that option with one DVD player and didnt find. Also all people will not be aware about it. So I decided to make it in 4:3 ratio. If it is seeing i widescreen TV they will not mis any thing, they can see the full video screen.
