How do I adjust the window panels in Bridge horizontally?  It is easy to adjust the width of them vertically, but I cannot recall how to adjust them horizontally.  I had to Reset Preferences and cannot seem to figure out how to "stack" the window panels.  In other words, I might like to have two window panels, tabbed, in the upper left corner, and two more window panels, tabbed, in the lower left corner (underneath the others).  If this is not clear I could send an email with a screen capture of my original layout before I had to Reset Preferences.   Thanks!

You can just click on header of panel and move to where you want.  Once finished go to Window/Workspace and save as a personal worksapce.

Thanks Curt, I actually figured it out but did so accidentally and cannot recreate it.

You can adjust horizontal and vertical size of the panel by placing your mouse on the borders in between the panel.

There are also 2 very small lines in this border but you don't need to be precise on that location. Just drag the  cursor on the border until the cursor changes in a line with two small arrows on each side. Now drag until your satisfied.

When you want to move the border that is at the outside of the complete window you need to resize the window itself. In this case you have to chose the bottom right location with 3 small lines in oblique angle to adjust the size of the Bridge window in every way.

When you want to move or ad a panel you can click and hold the tab with the panel name and drag it to a new location. When all borders highlight in blue you can add the panel as a tab, a single horizontal or vertical line means add is as a column or as a row in a column between other panels.

However with columns sadly enough your limit is three.

Once you are satisfied with the new lay out you can add is as a custom workspace.

There is a triangle left to the search field top right Bridge window. Click on it and it reveals the workspaces but also the option to save as a new workspace. Give it a proper name and it appears in the row workspace names left to the triangle. You can drag this line to the left and also rearrange the workspace names by dragging to a new location.

It sort of completely defeats the purpuse unless I'm missing something.

Thumbnail size is included in a saved workspace, this works on my machine (Mac) and no reason why it should not on yours.

However clicking on a workspace is not always enough, you actually have to choose reset workspace from the triangle menu to retrieve the original saved settings.

How do I add additional panels BELOW those two original tabbed panels?

Select the tab with the name Folders on it, hold click and drag the tab to its new location. Now here it might get a bit tricky...

Don't know which version you have but the replace behavior has been improved for each new version. You have to aim the tab at the border at the bottom (or other location) just above the bottom and beneath the existing panel. When a single blue line appears you can let it go and it appears at its new location. When you want to nest a panel into other panel just hold it above until the panel is surrounded by a bleu line and then release it.

It needs a bit of practicing but it is not as hard as it sounds

Is there anyway to customize the thumbnails? I scrapbook digitally and I would like to be able to take an image from each folder in Bridge and make it the thumbnail so that I can see previews of all the digital scrapbooking kits I have instead of lots of little yellow folders that I then have to open in order to see what is in them. Is this possible with Windows 7 and CS 5?
