CS3: Premeire Pro: Installing/Finding missing CODEC

Apr 7, 2012 9:03 AM

We have Adobe CS3 Premeire Pro

I ran the GSpot v2.70a and found I am missing some CODEC for Premeire Pro to properly import some avi files from our Sony Hanycam model number HDR-XR150.

Here is the situation:

When I import video into premeire pro, it said not a supported file.

So i read some foums on here and it stated to install the gspot v2.70a and it will tell the mssing codecs you have.

The following are not installed on our computer:

** File Missing: "C:\Program Files 9x86)\Adobe\Adobe Premeire Pro CS3\ad2mcspmpeg.ax

Proposed Coded Solutions and Tests from GSpt states this:

Partial Render Failure: Following is the error reported by DirectShow:

0x0004042: [unknown]
[Src]-->[A}-->["MainConcept (Adobe2) MPEG Splitter"]>--B)-->{"MainConcept (Adobe2) MPEG Audio Decoder"]>--(C)-->[Default DirectSound Device]

The other file missing codecs that I have by listing all the codec on gspot are as follows:

ad2daac.x (adobe 2 aac decoder)

ad2dsh264.ax (h.264/avc decoder

ad2mcdsmpeg.ax (mpeg audio decoder)

ad2mcdsmpeg.ax (mpeg video decorder)

ad2mcesmpeg.ax (adobe 2 mpeg encoder)

ad2esh264.ax (h.264 encoder)

ad2mcevmpeg.ax (mpeg video encorder)

ad2mceampeg.ax (mpeg audio encorder)

ad2mcmuxmpeg.ax (mpeg multiplexer)

ad2evh264.ax (h.264/avc video encoder)

ad2eaac.ax (adobe 2 aac encoder)

prodad-codec.dll (proDAD Codec)

How do I install or get these codec installed on our computer?

We having the following for computer specs:

Windows 7 operating system

16GB Ram

64 bit operating system

intel core i7 processor

Please post in the Premiere Pro forum. This forum is for suite specific issues only.

These are licensing errors. You need to reinstall the software and/or get rid of "CoDec Packs" like K-Lite that mess with your system CoDecs. Anyway, as Bob said, such specifics are best resolved by asking in the proper product forums.
