I'm burning a DVD for playback on a DCD system in a theater. There are multiple videos from different people to be put into the playlist. Some are 4:3, some are 16:9. My question is will the DVD play the videos back in the proper resolution when they come up to play, or will the disc only play in one resolution the whole time? If so, which resolutoin will it play at? the largest, 16:9? or how will this work esxactly?
Each timeline can be only one screen aspect, but you can mix ratios on the disk.
How they play will be determined in part by the player setup.
I think a playlist can mix timelines with different aspect ratios.
But a dvd's max playback is only 480 correct? So even if some people have something at 720 HD, i still need to make a timeline in premiere at 480 and bring it in to that timeline and scale to frame size and live with black bars, right?
Could you also not create a 16:9 project/timeline and then import the footage and Pr should interpret the 4:3 and letter box it so it's all in one format but two different screen sizes?
This is ofcourse if you want them in one project ie press play and watch the whole disk.
