Padding text general inquiry

hello dreamweavers.

 

(newbie here)

is padding the most common way to navigate text around a document?is there another method?

    When you say "navigate text around" do you mean control white-space?

     

    If so, then yes, that's what you can use padding for.  Depending on the context, margin can also do that.  Padding creates space between content and border and margin creates space between border and other elements.

    hello martin.

     

    yes creating white space,the text moves further away from the images leaving white space between, depending on the padding i give it.

    ill keep it in mind also about the margin as well.
