Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 exporting to Media encoder SUPER SLOW

Hi everyone...I'm having a problem with my CS4, which is after I have finished editing a less than 4 minute video, the project was transferred to the Media Encoder and started encoding just fine but theres a problem here, it's like super slow...the thing is taking more than two hours to export a 4 minute video! Anyway, heres my system:

 

Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit

AMD Phenom II 965 @ 3.4GHz

4.00GB RAM(3.12GB Usuable)

Sapphire 6850 1GB

    Was it ever faster?

    How many and what kind/size hard drives?

    Is that a PLAIN video... such as you are only exporting 4 minutes out of the center of a longer piece, or are you applying any effects?

     

    Depending on the effect, they can take a long time to process

    No it's actually about 4 clips put together, many splits, many effects. Could that be why?
