BUG:  Navigator Red Highlight Doesn't Move If Auto-Scroll While Selecting

I was selecting some wires with the Polygonal Lasso Tool in a big image and had the main display at high magnification.  As I dragged the selection off the screen it auto-scrolled as it should, but I noticed the red highlight in the Navigator pane that shows where the main display is looking in the image doesn't update.  It stays centered on the position that it started at during the selection operation.

 

Looks like a panel update bug to me.  It updates okay when doing normal scrolling.

 

You can clearly see I'm on a different part of the image than the red highlight shows in this screen grab:

    Thanks for the bump Noel,

     

    I notice that while PS is still in the polygonal lasso modal state the navigator panel doesn't track with where you are on the doc, but once you commit the lasso the navigator should update right?

     

    I tried auto-panning the image by selecting using a marquee tool and dragging, the nav panel updates with that.

     

    I'll goahead and log this one and see what happens with it!

    Yeah, I see this too. But also in previous versions of PS.

    Thanks for logging it, Pete.  And yes, Charles, I just verified the same exact issue in Photoshop CS5, so it's not a new bug.  I never noticed it before.
