I have working watermarks in LR4 that have been imported from LR3.
Today I made a logo in black & white.
Size 160kB in PNG to have it to be transparent.
When I try to use the logo it seems great in the graphic setup.
When I save the preset it doesn't come up with the name of the saved preset.
I also tried the same with my older PNG's that works in the presets made in LR3
Same problem, it will not show up as a saved preset.
Anybody that have experienced the same problem?
Is there any solution?
I know you are going to hate me but, it worked here.
Created a new watermark with your BW PNG and saved as a preset. Worked
Modified by increasing the logo size and was able to update the existing preset. Worked.
Go to Export, I am able to select it.
Step me through your Watermark creation carefully and lets see if we can figure it out.
1. Will it save as a new WM Preset?
2. If you modify will it let you Update Existing Preset with Current Settings?
It should then appear in your list in Export, Print, Web???
I installed LR4.0 on my old macbook and everything works as a dream!
I removed all the presets from LR4 that I've made
But is there a way to clean all traces of LR on my Mac?
When I re-installed all the old presets where present.
I also didn't need to type in the license.
I think that I will need to do a full and completly reset and then re-install LR
After I got it to work on my macbook I did the following:
Created a new user
Started up LR4
Watermarks works great!
I then copied the lightroom folder that was created on the account to the new user.
Folder was found here: Macintosh HD/users/New user created/Library/Application support/Adobe/Lighroom (copied it)
That did not work when I restarted LR
What is missing here?
Absolutely correct!
I did an error in my previous post.
I put the Lightroom folder in the wrong place.
I had forgotten to show all hidden files.
Then that folder was hidden....
It seems like this can fix a lots of problems.
I had a different problems with LR3.2 and Victoria Bampton told me how to fix it back then.
So I just had to dig up her response about moving the files to the correct place.
The easiest way to fix this is to create a new user. But since I have so much stuff on my main account it will be a pain to start all over again.
Thank you for the push in the correct direction
