Hello Adobe Forums!
I'm new to AE and it's been kinda hard to me. But anyway, I'm facing all the problems as challenges!
I'm now trying to do something that seemed quite simple when I first thought about it. It's about making the screen flash acording to the music's beat.
I tried - with no success - make the animation using masks and opacity but I can't precisely sync it with the beat.
Is there a plugin to flash the screen acording to the beat or it needs to be handmade?
Hope you guys can help me!
Well, heres the first one I can think of. Its really amazing but it aint free...

Sound Keys doesn't do anything that you can't do in AE out-of-the-box, it just makes it easier.
You can replicate what it does by applying an equalization filter to your audio layer to extract the relevant frequency to pull a beat: remove the upper frequencies to enhance the kick drum, for example.
Precompose the layer, then use the Convert Audio To Keyframes animation assistant. This converts the amplitude/volume of the audio to keyframes. You can then link this data to other parameters, like the brightness of a lens flare to create a flash on the beat, for example.
There's more information here, including links to some resources for making this easier:
