Having PDF Appear in pop-up from Website

Currently we display PDFs on a Website as text and image icon links. When a user clicks on either the PDF icon or the text link, a new browswer window appears where the PDF displayed from our server.

 

We would like to change the way they are displayed by allowing users to:

 

a. Preview them in a pop-up / lightbox window that appears on the same page without a browswer refresh

 

b. Download the document by the user clicking on the PDF icon.

When you click the Text Link under "Form" the preview appears.

 

I am new to the Adobe Forums, any help will be greatly appreciated.
