I need some help getting started

I'd say I'm an intermediate level scripter when it comes to running Javascript with Photoshop and Illustrator.  I know the basics anyways, but now I need to do some scripting with Acrobat, but I'm having trouble finding the launch point.  Does Acrobat not fit in with the #target function?  I just want to write something to open Acrobat so I know I'm on the right track.  Thanks!
