It is the logo that seems to be causing the problem. I checked overprint in Illustrator, imported it into InDesign and still get the preflight warning from the magazine. Still greyed out in InDesign, no matter which selection tool I try. Thanks! K8
That's a different ball of wax.
Is it white having an overprint issue? A spot color? That would fire of a preflight warning from a vendor.
Two screen shots from ID - one with frames showing and another with View > Overprint Preview might speed this up.
You can't set overprint for imported objects in ID, you need to set it in Illustrator. Just what warning are you gettting from the magazine? Have you checked the Separations Preview to see what ID thinks the plates will look like? Waht color(s) are involved?
Screenshots below - . If I change the overprint settings in Illustrator, it distorts the logo.
I think it’s the white. Or the black. I’ve tried switching to rich black with no change. If I change the settings in Illustrator, it distorts the logo.
What do you mean "distorts" the logo?

Re: Overprinting page items
Kate, your response was blank, except for an extraneous header. That happens with some email clients, so you should probably come back to the web page Which you need to do to post screen shots, anyway).
