I have been trying to install the update for 2 days and can't get it to work or install properly. I'm on a mac computer. Error is some updates failed to install. Update is not appicable. Any suggeestiions?
I just upgraded to cs5 since buying the mark III. I had some errors with that install on cs5 but adobe said not to worry about them since cs 5 is working on my computer. After attempting more soultions I can see generic thumbnails of the image and when I right click on the image I'm missing the open in camera raw. If I say open in CS5 the image will open in camera raw . So confusing.
Is is possible that I have the plug in in the wrong folder? Could you help me to get in the right folder? I ahve searched for the instructions but have not found them
Thanks

Are you trying to view 5D MIII in Bridge CS5? If so, you may need to pruge the cahce from those folders you may have visited before downloading and installing ACR 6.7. Go to Tool, Cache, Purge Cache for folder xxx.
Yes. I just purged the cache. Should I now put the camera plug in the trash and start over and re download the update again?
When I try to install the update I can't get past the screen that says some updates failed to install. update is not applicable. So I can't even get to the instruction part.

Hi,
Kindly follow the below mentioned steps to make sure your updates work fine:-
1) Restart your System
2) Launch PS
3) Go to Help -> Updates -> Preferences and make sure the box for ACR is checked.
4) Open the download file and double-click AdobePatchInstaller, and follow the on-screen instructions.
5) Quit PS and let the patcher run.
6) Quit Update Window after successful installation
7) Verify ACR
ACR update should work fine now, if it still does not work,
Please provide us with Camera Raw installer log file at "/Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers", This would help us in resolving the issue.
Please mail it to asnigam@adobe.com.
Thanks,
Ashutosh

I resolved the issue. Adobe sent me cs5 on cd. I had trouble downloading it and had errors. Adobe told me not to worry about the errors as long as cs5 loaded on my computer. I finally uninstalled cs5 and went to the website and downloaded the trial version. Guess what it install perfect and I downloaded the beta version fine. I'm working now.
