I am hosting shared PDF reviews on Acrobat.com. I have some 30 files that I need to release for review, and 20 are currently shared. However, when I try to send a new file for review, I get an error saying "Status: Could not send email invitation."
What is going on here? Is there some sort of limitation on the free account? I haven't reached my storage size limitation, and haven't found any other limitations documented. (I'm able to upload the PDF to Acrobat.com, but once it's there I can't send it for review.)
Note that I've never seen this error when hosting on my own servers. This is special to Acrobat.com.
This is certainly bizarre. There is no specific limitation on the number of file you can share with with the free account, only a data cap of 2GB.
Are you unable to share the file with anyone or do you only get this error with specific recipients?
I tried several different addresses, and couldn't share with anyone. I tried to share with a personal email--thinking perhaps there was an issue with our email servers--but that also failed. Then I waited 24 hours in hopes that it would start to work, without success.
I finally gave up. Switched back to using our own servers.
