pulsating circles ....

How to make, say 8 concentric circles pulsating from a sharp red inner circle to a thin transparent outer circel ....!?

 

I'd like to show the epicenter of an earthquake like circles pulsating outwards ... sounds like a simple tweening - but .... hmmm - i can't figure it out

    Make 8 circle movieclips and use actionscript to tween them.  It isn't clear to me what the pulsating effect needs to be, but you should be able to tween them individually, simultaneously, and/or sequencially as needed.

    Thanks, ned, for quick response. guess that’s the way to go. I want the circles to spread like when you throw a stone into water: continuously moving outwards … (att. the earthquake map with the – not moving – circles)

    If you want a ripple effect, you might find something that is readily adaptable if you search Google using terms like "AS3 ripple efect tutorial"
