where should presets be on iMac/lion

I use iMac i7, 8GB, lion 10.7.3.

I have photoshop CS4, CS5, and CS6beta installed.

I note that, in the user library are only empty folders for all the photoshop plug ins, regardless of version:

user/library/application support/adobe/adobe photoshop cs6/presets/ actions, ( or brushes, or gradients, etc. These folders are all empty. This is true for each version of the application.

Instead, all the presets are stored in the applications folder for each version. IS THIS CORRECT?

Should I change this or try to eliminate certain redundacies??

thanks

vince

    Via http://forums.adobe.com/message/4287533#4287533

The default location for saving Presets is user/library/Application Support/Adobe/Photoshop (version)/Presets. If you have presets saved there they migrate. If you have saved to Applications/Photoshop/Presets you should be able to use Import, but you have to select each folder and import. Imported presets are added to the default user/library location.

It's best not to mess with any existing folders on your system.
