Latest flash player update 11.2.202.229 causing player for forcefully buffer full video content.

Apr 10, 2012 3:28 PM

Hi,

Been using the flash player for years on various websites, and over the past few days hundreds of videos have stopped working - seemingly related to computers / browsers with the latest flash player update.

Video just won't play at all - instead of playing, it starts to buffer the whole video file, but mostly never manages to complete and play.

Am I alone here - or is this a wider issue?

Here is just one example video that will not play with the latest version - http://www.vintra.co.uk/Client-Script-Libraries/Thurleigh_Investment_M anagement_Q1_Preview_1.htm

Regards

Stewart

    Hi Stewart,

I'm seeing the same issue with this video, though I haven't seen this occur before on other sites.  Updating to Flash Player 11.3 beta 1 fixes this problem.  Could you give this a try and let me know how it goes?

    Thanks,

    Chris

    Hi Stewart,

I definitely won't be days.  My guess is more like months.  Since this is critical for you, would you mind opening a new bug report on this issue at bugbase.adobe.com?

    Thanks,

    Chris
