Interactive Checkbox

Apr 11, 2012 3:00 PM

Hi brand new to adobe and I had a question regarding indesign form building.  Does indesign have the ability to create an interactive checkbox or button that would then add content.  Something to this effect.

Was home built before 1975

Yes    No

If yes then additional content displays

Year Home Built_____________

Thanks for your help.  I am not sure if indesign would be the right program and if it would work with scripting.

Thanks

E

That feature does not yet exist in InDesign.

You can design it in ID and then run the form field recognition feature in Acrobat Pro.

Currently all you can do in InDesign is to create object which Acrobat's Form Field Recognition feature will convert into Text fields, Checkboxes, radio buttons, etc. All of the work currently has to be done in Acrobat.

Here is a link to an Adobe TV video which shows Form Field Recognition: Acrobat: Running Form Field Recognition | Accessibility @ Adobe ...
