flash player not working properly?

Im trying to test my internet speed and every site I go to says I need to update my flash player. Now my adobe shows I have the latest version but sometimes I visit sites and videos dont work wich leads me to believe there is really something wrong with adobe. what can I do to fix it? I tried redown loading it and got errror after erroe after error till finally said it completed. but still not working?

I have windows 7 home premuim, internet explorer. Aparently I have adobe flash player 11 ativex 64 bit

Thanks. Just tried it and it helped alot. Still acting a little glitchy, everything isnt showing up at one time but better than nothing I guess,
