Maybe this is a stupid question, but what exactly is the explanation of "Conforming" after import of footage?
It seems that all footage is conformed no matter which format it is.

It is the process of modifying the source audio, be it 12 or 16 bit, to 32 bit for better and more accurate audio editing.
