Noob - File Size Question

Hi All,

I'm very new to after effects. I'm in the middle of my first project. It's a quick 10 second clip that fades in some text and has one of the default moving background behind it.

I want to include it at the beginning of a premiere pro movie i'm making (almost like a animated logo). So i tried to render it out to an avi file but the file size of the completed avi was over 300mb.

I just wanted to know if this sounds normal? It seems like a lot to me.

In case it matters I was using after effects CS5.5 and the project was set to fit in a 720 x 480 screen.
