Colour rendering differently between php and htm pages?

Am I going crazy? I have just rebuilt pages of a client's web site in php instead of html. I have not changed anything in the stylesheets. The main site colour is green. When I view the htm pages, they are a grey-green. When I view the php pages they are a brighter green. Does php render colours differently than html? Or am I just nuts? 
I tried to Google this, but couldn't find anything.
Sorry, didn't think this was necessarily a developer question for the php forum.
