"Adobe Active File Monitor V9" service

This service is running, seemingly all the time, even though PSE 9 is not running.  Is this the default case?  What if I went into services.msc and set it to Manual, instead of Automatic?

    Most people leave it running as it manages the watch folder and picks up any new or changed images, not in the catalog. But yes you can change it, if you prefer. It’s best done through the Control Panel.

     

    Administrative Tools à Services

     

    Highlight it and you have the options to stop, pause and restart.
