Before opening an image in CS6 beta the 'Use Graphics Accelerator' is enabled; after opening an image, it is not and then an error is generated 'This feature requires graphics procesor acceleration . ..' when attempting to use a filter/feature which requires HW acceleration. I have a supported graphics card, Radeon 6870, Windows7 64 bit, 8GB Ram. I've tried all 3 Advanced Settings.
Go to the following page and download Catalyst 12.3. You'll likely find it to work better than the driver version you have now.

I have a Radeon HD 5670 and all the features work using Catalyst 12.3.

Thanks, but been in the CS6 beta forum too. I had the current 12.3 drivers already installed - removed them — installed 12.2, and that fixed the issues. I reinstalled 12.3 again, just to see if they were corrupted, and that broke the graphics processor acceleration again, so rolled back to AMD 12.2 and its working fine. With 12.3 it doesn't detect the card type or driver data.

Ouch. I guess the drivers aren't giving the same level of performance for each different card then.
To be fair, when I originally installed the drivers I'm using, they were called 12.2 on the ATI web page, but inside the Catalyst program itself they identified as 12.3, so I'm not completely sure which version I'm running as compared to what you have said. The downloadable .exe package is shown as 162,035 KB in Windows Explorer, and I downloaded them on March 8.
