I'm trying to save a video using Premier Elements 4 on my Windows 7 system. It's about an hour long and there's plenty of disk space. Sharing using either the PC/Flash or PC/MPG options, the program aborts about half way through with the message "Premier Elements not responding". The program then closes. Since this version is rated as supporting Vista, I was told it should work with Windows 7. Have I lost my money? How do I save my data files?
Will that (Version Premier Elements 9) on the article list work for my Premier4 Elements?

The first part, tough written with PrE 10 in mind, is rather universal.
The tuneup tips are for Vista and Win7 (both 32-bit and 64-bit), and the troubleshooting tips are not version specific, for either the program, or the OS (other than perhaps the exact location of things like Event Viewer).
Good luck,
