What are you seeing that requires you to purge the cache?

What platform are you running on and with what OS?

I'm seeing a message when I try to open bridge.

I'm running it on Macbook pro with OS X 10.7.3

Have you tried changing the Cache Preferences in Bridge? I don't know what message you are seeing but changing the cache size and cache options (keep 100% previews: uncheck, Automatically Export Cache...: uncheck) will help.

Can you attached the screen shot of the message? Did it say that some issue happens for your cache and need you to purge? OR did you press Opt key when you launch Bridge?

Running Lion 10.7.3

Ok I've converted it to a jpg. I'll try again. Bridge will open without purging the cache so I'm not sure what the point of the message is but itt appears everytime I open it

I saw your dialog, and seems your Bridge cache file is corrupted. Please try to:

1. Remove the folder /Users/[username]/Library/Caches/Adobe/Bridge CS6.

2. Press Opt key and launch Bridge, and select 'Purge Entire Thumbnail Cache' in the dialog.

Please let me know whether this works.

There was no folder /users/(username)/Library

After opt/launching and selecting purge entire thumbnail cache the message no longer appears.
