How do I upload a PDF from my PC to an iPad to view with adobe reader?

Hi,

You can transfer PDF documents to your iPad via iTunes, or use other mechanisms such as email, dropbox, etc. and open the PDF in Adobe Reader via the 'Open In' option in those apps.

Thanks. I've gotten that far, but I still can't get what I need. I suspect I
need to purchase some more software.

Specifically, I use Acrobat Pro to create a PDF portfolio. These can be
multi-hundred mega byte documents. A portfolio contains many sub documents
organized, tagged, booked marked and made for easy navigation. I loaded a
small PDF through iTunes into iBooks. When I opened that, all the
bookmarking and highlighting did not show up. I got the portfolio to
transfer, but it wants the full Adobe reader to open it, which of course
won't run on the iPad.

So I suspect I'd need to purchase some software to enable opening the whole
portfolio.
