CSS-P Elements keep shifting in preview mode

I'm new in Dreamweaver and been experiencing type and images in CSS-P element boxes that is in the right position but then when I preview them in Dreamweaver they shift about 50px away. When I preview in Firefox they shift even more. What do I have to do to anchor them where they stay put. This program has a mind of its own! arrrrrgh!  I also create rules for these items, but that doesn't matter.

    David,

     

    It sounds as though you are grappling with dreamweaver without having first grappled with HTML/CSS.  Dreamweaver is not so helpful if you don't understand the basics at least.  It might in fact, be fair to say that it's HTML and CSS that has its own mind.

     

    Having said that the clue to your difficulties will be in you code so the preference is to upload your page and provide a link or post all you code here.
