Any chance of getting CS6 to export 3D files compatible with Strata Live 3D SX2? I'd love to put active 3D on the web using that but the formats aren't compatible.
If you want to make a feature request that Ps Extended exports to VRML2 directly, you can make that here: http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family.
Please include in the request your use case(s), and how it's important for what your doing.
Daniel, I can't find OBJ format supported in Strata Live 3D SX2. Only VRML, WIRE, and K3D are options available for import into Strata Live. Any suggestions of places to look that I'm missing? I'm trying to import intoStrata Live.
I know that the Strata Suite supports OBJ.
I am unfamiliar with Strata Live, as a product. If they do not support normal 3D formats in this stand alone then I do not have a current solution. OBJ is an industry standard and univrsally supported 3D format. Why they do not support it is a good question for their support team.
I posed this question on their Facebook page, maybe this can help you... https://www.facebook.com/Strata3D?ref=ts
My bet is they now want everyone to work in Strata 3D only. They had an old plug-in for photoshop that worked well, but has been abandoned and won't work with current versions of PS. It is nice to have a way to put interactive 3D on the web, though. Thanks for your insights.
