Recovering work

I was working at a project, crashed while working on it and when I woke up, my laptop have updated and Photoshop was closed. Is there a way to recover the work like in Office 2010? I hope there is or back to doing it all over again.

    Only in Photoshop CS6, I'm sad to say.

    There was a thread here a while back where the OP let the battery on his laptop completely run out, with the result that it crashed while saving his large project file.  That resulted in a total loss because he could no longer access the PSD file even after trying recovery software.  However you might have more luck, so try Google with 'psd recovery'.  Some of them are free to use, and there are several to chose from.

    Since you're able to show us what you were working on, does that mean you were able to recover it?

     

    One of the things most seasoned folks do is save occasionally in different master files, to help protect from inadvertent loss.

    nope but an hour and half later, I had it back lol

     

    Good thing is not detail intense.

    I also lost everything that was done, after rebooting сomputer.

    And could not recover.

    Get into the habit of 'Ctrl + S' or 'Cmd + S' every time you make a major change. As simple as that.

    And, at intervals, predicated on the degree of work being done, do a Save_As, or Save_As_a_Copy, to a different HDD.
